In this season, people like us avoid traveling as we think there’s no place to go. So, we just sit on the couch of our home and watch T.V. right?
But let me tell you, there are ample places you can visit or plan your vacations to.
One of them is JAIPUR-Pink City.
Hawa Mahal
Albert Hall Museum
Patrika Gate
The month of July to September is the peak time of monsoon and also the time of peak rain in Jaipur. But it is also the best time to visit Forts and Palaces. If you’re someone who has a keen interest in History, Stories of Bravery, Architecture and want to dig out some historical stories then this is the place for you to visit this Monsoon.
-Why you should visit Jaipur in the Monsoon?
The best reason is that it is the Off-Season of Jaipur so you’ll get everything at comparatively lower prices. But do you know? Such places never go off-season as many people love to explore history or Forts and Palaces in monsoon only. So, you’ll not be the only person visiting Jaipur this season. It is the capital of Rajasthan and an urban city, so the transportation is very convenient and easily accessible, and even in the rain, you’ll not face inconvenience as you face in any hill station or mountains or any off-beat place.
It is a perfect destination for a family vacation, couple, or even for solo wanderers.
-How to plan itineraries with places you may visit?
Well! You can plan from 1 day to as many days as you want. It completely depends on your budget. I suggest you either plan for a weekend like Sat-Sun. Or any Three days. Basically, 2-3 days are enough to explore Jaipur.
In Jaipur, you would see- Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar, Albert Hall Museum, Sanjay Museum, the Traditional market of Jaipur, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Panna Meena Kund, Kanak Vrindavan Garden, etc.
You can also plan to experience the traditional culture of Jaipur closely by visiting Chokhi Dhani, Jaipur where you can see the rural life of Rajasthan with Mud houses, traditional Rajasthani cuisines, Rajasthani folk dance, folk music, puppetry, and much more.
If you have time, you can plan to visit nearby places such as Ranthambore National Park, where you can enjoy Jungle Safari and trek to Ganesh Temple which is located in the Fort of Ranthambore.
Ajmer and Pushkar are also not very far from Jaipur. Ajmer is around 130 km from Jaipur and Pushkar is only 14 km from Ajmer and in between this distance, there’s one more place you may visit; Kishangarh, famous for its Marble Dumping Yard. It’s just 103 km from Jaipur. You’ll find it between the route of Jaipur to Ajmer.
Pushkar is known for a very rare- Brahma Temple and Ajmer; You must be aware that it was the capital of King Prithviraj Chauhan and is famous for the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti.
-Things to Carry and Places to Stay
In the monsoon, umbrellas and raincoats should be on your list to carry. Along with that, the clothes must be of a fabric which dries up soon and must carry 2-3 pairs of footwear as they going to be dirty soon. Charger and power bank will be your savior. Else, you know your requirements and needs better.
There are ample options of stay; From budget to luxury. If travelling alone, you may opt for hostels which will charge around INR 500/- to 800/- per night. The hotel offers rooms from INR 1000/- to as much expensive as you want. Yes! Jaipur is for everyone. All you need is a little research before planning a visit.
-How to reach Jaipur?
Jaipur is well equipped with transportation and connectivity all over the country. It has an airport, railway station, bus stand, and sufficient local transport connections. Whether you’re in any corner of the country, you can reach Jaipur very conveniently.
Let’s say, Delhi to Jaipur is 315 km, a 6 hrs. long journey via Road and Train. You may also take a flight directly from Delhi to Jaipur which is the route of an hour. You can plan your journey as per your budget.
-Local sightseeing packages
Don’t worry! There are enough options for local sightseeing packages. You ask the hotel manager, you’re staying in, and he’ll bring you many packages like 1 day sightseeing, 2 days sightseeing, and of 7 and 15 days also. It is the best option to opt for the package there. You can select it according to your budget.
I’m sure you’re going to love this place. The beauty of palaces surrounded by greenery and splash of rain is worth watching. The Amer Fort; famous by the name of Maan Singh and Jodha Bai, will arrest you in its beauty. The Grand Amer Fort should be on to must-visit list. All the money you invest in this trip will pay you back with the admiring beauty of the city and monuments.
